Patterns

Today I learned how to create a repeating pattern using the wildflower prompt. I think I would have preferred simply creating a wildflower painting – as it’s one of the things I paint most. BUT – this was based on a tutorial which has you duplicate your layer, create a transparent black layer to place over it, split it in half (horizontally and then again vertically) to create more white space, and to offset the pattern to itself. Hoping this helps me remember what that was like. I had trouble taking it into repeat – but not sure where I went wrong. I’ll have to try it again sooner than later.
